Biography

Xandrine Bossers (born january 13, 1985, Dongen, the Netherlands) started playing the violin at the age of eight.
Two years later she was admitted to the 'Jong Talent Klas' of Het Brabants Conservatorium, where she was taught by Annemieke Corstens.
She graduated cum laude from the conservatory of Utrecht when she was twenty years of age.
Her teachers were the esteemed Chris Duindam  and Alexander Kerr (former concertmaster of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra).

Xandrine Bossers has participated in several contests.
In 1998 she reached the final round of the television competition 'Solo Voor Een Kind' (solo for a child).
At the 'Prinses Christina Concours' she won the prize awarded by the public in 2000, 2001 and 2003 at 's-Hertogenbosch.
In 2001 the jury of the 'Rotary Concours' unanimously awarded her the first prize.

When Herman Krebbers heard her play, he immediately asked her to participate in his public masterclasses.
She also took masterclasses with (among others:) Takashi Shimizu, Michael Erxleben and György Pauk.

Currently, Xandrine studies at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest.
Her professor is Vilmos Szabadi.

Xandrine plays a John Betts Violin, loaned to her by  'Stichting De Volckaert'.
